After spending more than eight years in construction, I knew it was time to make a change. The steady rhythm of building structures and working with my hands had been fulfilling in its own way, but deep inside, a dream had always simmered—one that couldn’t be ignored any longer. I had always wanted to open my own business, to create something from scratch that could bring joy to people. So, I took a leap of faith, leaving behind the world of construction to chase this new passion.
I decided to open a Manoosh pizza shop. The idea was simple: delicious, authentic pizza, inspired by the flavors of my heritage. The first year was a whirlwind of challenges. Every day felt like a battle—whether it was sourcing the right ingredients, figuring out the best recipes, or trying to stand out in a crowded market. There were days when I doubted myself, when I wondered if I had made a huge mistake. The struggle was real, and at times, it felt like the world was against me.
But I didn’t give up. I leaned on my faith and reminded myself why I started this journey in the first place: I wanted to create something special, something that made people smile. I worked tirelessly, experimenting with flavors, perfecting recipes, and listening to my customers. Slowly but surely, the pieces began to fall into place.
Two years later, I’m standing in my thriving pizza shop, watching happy customers enjoy the delicious pies I make every day. The hard work has paid off. My dream has become a reality, and it’s more rewarding than I ever imagined. I’m grateful for the obstacles that tested me, because they shaped me into the person I am today. With God’s guidance and the support of my family, friends and loved ones, and with my persistence, I’ve built a business that I’m proud of—a place where passion and dedication meet to create mouthwatering pizza.
And every time I see the smiles on my customers’ faces, I know that I made the right choice.
